The History of the Bloody Mary

The modern history for the Bloody Mary entails an American bartender, Fernand Petiot in a Parisian bar. Due to ongoing wars, the Russians coming into Paris brought vodka whilst Americans brought canned tomato juice. Combining these ingredients with seasoning and spices, the Bloody Mary was born!

What does a Bloody Mary taste like?

The Bloody Mary carries a mix of spicy, salty, and savory flavours, with forward notes of tomatoes and hot sauce. The bloody mary is typically drunk in the morning or afternoon to help cure hangovers. Its tomato sauce base settles the stomach, salt replenishes electrolytes, and alcohol relieves head and body ache.
