Martell Vsop is a blend of eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which is aged for at least 4 years. This cognac provides the perfect balance of delicious, fine and fruity notes with subtle woody overtones. Elegant and harmonious, the Martell VSOP is a full-fledged expression of Martell style.
History
Founded in 1715, Martell is the oldest cognac house that utilises 300 years of Savoiefer to turn Charente grapes into very pure eau de vie using a traditional double distillation process. In addition to its passion for crafts and its deep ties to terroir, the Maison Martell is characterised by its boldness against the conventions of creating new expressions of cognac, including the iconic Martell Cordon Bleu in 1912. Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm copper with subtle glints of gold.
Aroma
Intense, ripe yellow fruits of mirabelle plum, greengage, apricot and vine peach.
Taste
Luscious fruit notes mingled delectably with hints of wood and soft, light spices from the red barrels

1. Curious Punch
Ingredients
- Martell VSOP, 50ml
- Lime juice, 20ml
- Sugar, 10ml
- Mineral water, 20ml
- 1 slice lemon peel
Directions
a. Pour Martell VSOP in a punch cup or highball glass over crushed ice,
b. Add lemon juice and sugar syrup, with 20ml premium mineral water
c. Stir well until the glass gets frosted.
d. Garnish with a lemon peel twisted over the drink.
2. Curious Halo
Ingredients
- Martell VSOP, 50ml
- Seltzer or sparkling mineral water, 100ml
Directions
a. Using a highball glass, pour Martell VSOP over ice and top with sparkling water prepared with a soda siphon.
b. Stir for 10 seconds
c. Serve with a twisted lemon peel as garnish
