A deeply saturated garnet-ruby wine with a lofty bouquet of blackcurrant, bilberry, wild hedgerow fruit, pencil shavings and crushed stone. On the palate it reveals rich dark berry layers, cocoa, truffle, cigar box and graphite, wrapped in velvety tannins and a firm mineral backbone. The blend (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc) and about 55% new oak give it both power and refinement, promising 25-40+ years of graceful evolution.
