Chichibu Paris Edition 2025 Les Champs Elysees Itineraires
Chichibu Paris Edition 2025 – Le Marais Itinéraires
Created in 2008, Chichibu Japanese Single Malt Whisky has earned widespread recognition among Japanese whisky enthusiasts and connoisseurs worldwide. Produced entirely at the distillery—and increasingly using local barley, peat, and Japanese oak casks for select expressions—Chichibu is steadily moving toward becoming the first truly 100% Japanese whisky, guided by the vision of founder Ichiro Akuto. Fermented in mizunara oak vats and distilled in small copper pot stills, the spirit exhibits remarkable maturity and complexity, even at a young age, reflecting precision, craftsmanship, and elegance.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and unctuous, with malty bitterness, cinnamon spice, tropical fruits (passion fruit, lychee), dark berries (grape, blackberry), undergrowth notes (dry leaves, porcini mushrooms), and subtle prune hints for nobility.
Palate: Clean and lively, initially oily, robustly peaty, lemony, and peppery. Gradually develops honeyed and waxy notes, becoming creamy with toasted bread, rusk, barley porridge, and fruit-forward hints of mirabelle plum and damson.
Finish: Long and concentrated, echoing the malty character, refreshed by gentian, mint, eucalyptus, and sage. Exotic (passion fruit) and candied (prune) notes fade into toffee and bourbon vanilla, leaving a lingering, refined impression.
