Aviation gin, a Dutch style rye spirit base combined with juniper, lavender, anise, sarsaparilla, orange peel & cardamom. Crafted by Ryan Magarian & Christian Krogstad.
|Country Of Origin||United States|
Aviation Gin made its first appearance in 2006, crafted in Portland, Oregon by Ryan Magarian and Christian Krogstad. The name "Aviation gin" was inspired by the Aviation cocktail, which was created in the 1900s.
This craft gin adopts a Dutch-style rye spirit base combined with juniper, lavender, anise, sarsaparilla, orange peel and cardamom. Its botanicals are steeped in grain spirit for 2 full days before they are redistilled. Aviation gin was designed to be softer and smoother than London Dry, resulting in a more versatile and mixable gin. A pretty intriguing tipple, with a very handsome Gatsby-esque bottle.
