Red Wine is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting dark grape juice. Red wine is made from fair-skinned grapes, not fair-skinned grapes. During the production of red wine, winemakers ferment squeezed grape juice, called masts, by immersing it in dark grape skins to give the wine its colour, flavour and tannins. The colours of red wine range from deep opaque purple to bright rubies and everything in between. As the red wine ages, its bright and youthful colour changes to garnet and even brown.
