A Divine Inspiration
Hoegaarden Beer is named after a small village in Flemish region of Belgium, this beer has both an ancient history and a manufacturing secret that makes it an incredibly distinctive beer. Brewers take smooth, sweet and spicy ingredients, combine it all into a beer and continue to brew it again. This Hoegaarden recipe and process has been perfected over the years.
History
Back in 1445, the monks in Hoegaarden mixed Curaçao Orange Peels and Coriander in their wheat. This experiment led to the making of Hoegaarden wheat beer and this whole process continued to be successful for hundreds of years. Over this long period of time, Hoegaarden became one of the largest brewers in the 18th century.

A Special Hexagonal Glass
As with most beer glassware, there is logic to the shape. Hoegaarden has its own sturdy and flat-bottomed hexagonal glass. The hexagon shape cultivates a wider mouth that lets the citrus, spice and bready aromatics catapult into an individual's nasal passage as they sip.
