Oban 14 Years sits in a certifiable sweet spot: complex sufficient to require genuinely but light and simple sufficient for ordinary tasting. As with most single malts, it’s implied for sipping, not mixing.

Clinching multiple awards in 2018, the 14 Years Single Malt from Oban has managed to hit a sweet spot in its ability to capture the hearts of both newbies and connoisseurs alike. This West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion with only a small group of employees working on one batch at a time. 

History

Oban got to be an early player within the progressively important single malt whisky commerce, with the launch of the Oban 12 bottling in 1979. In 1989 there was another critical alteration to today’s Oban 14 Years Whiskey and its incorporation within the bunches Classic Malts Selection of Scotland. Nowadays the US market is the most vital for Oban, with around 90 percent of all generation being exported to North America.
